About the Illustrator
Hi there, and welcome—I’m so glad you found your way here. This little corner of the internet is where I get to share a piece of my heart with you. Creating Unique Yew Nork has been one of the most personal and meaningful projects of my life, and it means so much that you’re here to experience it with me. This coloring book isn’t just pages of illustrations—it’s a story, a dream, and a reflection of everything I love.
For as long as I can remember, art has been my safe place. Growing up, I would lose myself in doodles and sketches, escaping into a world of color where time didn’t exist. With a pencil in hand, the rest of the world would fade away, and I could lose myself for hours in colors, lines, and imagination. Art gave me comfort when I needed it most, and even now, it’s where I find peace and fulfillment. It’s not just something I do, it’s a part of who I am.
Behind the Pages
Unique Yew Nork is so special to me because it is the perfect blend of the three things I hold closest to my heart: art, fashion, and New York City. For me, New York isn’t just a place, it’s a dream that started long before I ever walked its streets. I had a giant New York sign hanging in my childhood bedroom that served as a daily reminder of the city I longed to see. On my 10th birthday, my parents took me for the very first time, and from that moment, there was no looking back. I was hooked. The skyline, the energy, and the magic was everything I had imagined and more. I carried that love with me through the years, and when I graduated college and landed a fashion job in the city, I finally made the leap. Living here became my dream come true.
What I’ve learned, though, is that the real beauty of New York isn’t always in the glamorous moments you see on TV. It’s in the little, everyday things. The small routines, the in-between moments, the ones you don’t plan but somehow stay with you forever. That’s what inspired me most while creating this book. Unique Yew Nork is my love letter to those moments—the solo coffee runs on chilly mornings, the late-night walks when the city is hushed but still humming, the quiet confidence of showing up as yourself in a place so big and alive.
Some of my best memories here are in those unplanned, ordinary scenes that somehow felt like something out of a movie. Commuting to work under skyscrapers and yellow taxis made me feel like I was living The Devil Wears Prada. Rooftop nights in pajamas with my girlfriends felt like Sex and the City. Rushing to meet my boyfriend for dinner in the West Village while dressed to the nines felt like a rom-com come to life. These are the moments that shaped my New York story, and they’re the heart of this book.
Every page inside represents a piece of my life in this city: a picnic in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow on a golden summer day; eating late-night pizza on the steps of my apartment; running along the West Side Highway as the Hudson shimmered beside me; shopping with my girlfriends through the cobblestone streets in Soho. Even the “What’s in My Bag” page is filled with the actual items I always take with me on a night out. Each illustration holds tiny hidden gems—personal symbols, meaningful names, details that carry my story. My hope is that when you color them in, you not only see New York through my eyes, but also find pieces of your own story in its everyday beauty.
This isn’t just a coloring book—it’s my story, my heart, and my love letter to a city that changed me. Thank you for being here and letting me share it with you. I hope when you turn these pages, you’ll feel the magic of the everyday, and maybe even see a little bit of your own story between the lines.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my grandma, Anita Heffernan. She was and always will be my buddy. She believed in me long before I ever believed in myself, and she never stopped encouraging me to chase my dreams. Although she is no longer here, I feel her with me in everything I create. If she were here today, I know we’d be sitting at her kitchen table, coloring these pages together while playing a Disney movie softly in the background and smelling cinnamon rolls bake in the oven. She is in every page, every line, every detail of this book—guiding my hand as I color through the pages of life. She lives on through my art, and this book is for her.
